Using XML for Conducting EDI

Bob Crowley has been with Research Triangle Consultants, Inc. (RTCI) in the capacity of Senior Vice-President since 1995. Prior to that time, he owned and operated C.W.Consultants in New Jersey for five years until it was acquired by RTCI. His background includes over twenty years technical and managerial experience with companies involved in international trade and transport. He is active in many Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) projects, having served as Chair of ANSI ASC X12, the US national standards body for EDI, from 1993 to 1995, and participates in many other EDI standards groups around the world.

Crowley is a well known speaker on Electronic Commerce and EDI. He is widely quoted in the press, and has authored many articles and books on EDI. His current book, "EDI - Charting a Course to the Future" is one of the best selling books on the topic. He is the founder of the industry EDI standards committee for the ocean transport industry, as well as the US Customs Electronic Systems Advisory Committee (CESAC) advising the US Customs Service (USCS) on matters of electronic commerce.
