Implementing Enterprise Internet EDI

This seminar is designed for managers and coordinators who are tasked with deploying E-Commerce and EDI over the Internet. Seminar topics include: Web security, Web vs. Internet EDI, Internet EDI using e-mail, file transfer protocol (FTP) and hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP), and virtual private networks and secured extranets.

Two-day seminar.

  • Basics of Web security, Web vs. Internet EDI, Internet EDI using e-mail, FTP, HTTP, VPNs and secure extranets.
  • Key management issues such as business concerns of using Internet EDI, introduction to Internet EC/EDI security, VAN vs. Internet and how to plan and justify Internet EDI.
  • Case studies will show the use of Internet EDI with a Web-based order management and catalog system, financial EDI over the Internet and automated procurement using Internet EDI.
  • Internet EDI technologies overview and trading partner issues, including VPNs and secure extranets.
