The Techniques & Methodologies Working Group convened its first session on November 13, 1997 in Paris, France.  The TMWG has been mandated as a permanent working group under the United Nations Centre for Facilitation of Procedures and Practices for Administration, Commerce and Transport (CEFACT).  The TMWG encompasses in part the work of the former UN/ECE/TRADE/WP.4/GE.1/AC.1 (Research, Strategic Advice and Implementation Planning Ad Hoc Committee).  TMWG  information is provided as it relates to the work of the Strategic Implementation Task Group of the X12 SITG.
